Allison Longo
I am currently in my last semester at Columbia College Chicago where I have been pursuing my B.A. degree in Deaf Studies with a minor in Theatre Directing. I am passionate about representation in the media and have spent many years studying Deaf representation in the media specifically. After graduating, I plan on pursuing a law degree with a focus on Disability Rights and Special Education law. My upbringing in the Deaf community has influenced my career greatly as I feel acutely aware of the discrimination and lack of awareness about the Deaf community. I hope to take my understanding and knowledge to spread awareness and advocate for policy changes for the civil rights of people with disabilities. Outside of work and school, I love watching and being involved with theatre and am an avid coffee drinker.
